We aim to serve the community regarding upliftment and other related educational, recreational and empowerment as early intervention of substance abuse.
We are a Non Profit Community Based Organisation in Belhar, one of the Cape Flats areas of Cape Town, South Africa. Belhar has one of the highest crime and drug related statistics of the Western Cape.
We are focusing on keeping children stimulated, occupied and empowered with extra mural & cultural activities such as Sports, Arts & Culture as early intervention of substance abuse.
We have also discovered a need in young adults who are already out of school and turned to drugs because of unemployment. Now they are being rehabilitated and need help in rebuilding their self esteem so our organisation is taking them under our wing and getting them involved with the childrens programs.

- 7/4/2009 - New Website Launch
On 7/4/2009, we launched our new website. We invite you to take a look around the website and tell your friends to come see us too by using our new Spread the Word website tool. - South African Police Dog Unit put on a display showing how their dogs work in crime related cases. This took place on July 16, 2009 at Maclear Park, Self Help Belhar. Residents and children turned out in great numbers to see the dogs perform and get educated on the PPS Dog Unit of the South African Police. Click on the link below to see pictures of the event.
